Balance holiday buffets with more exercise
(HealthDay News) -- If you tend to indulge in your favorite holiday treats, you may want to schedule some extra exercise to help offset those added calories. Try these holiday suggestions:
- Skip the elevator and take the stairs.
- Engage in active play with your pets, kids or grandkids.
- Enjoy a post-dinner walk with your family, even if it's a short one.
- Do some chores around the home, such as vacuuming, sweeping or washing the windows.
