part of the metro Allina Hospitals & Clinics Spiritual Care and Pastoral
Education Department.
Our mission
The Allina CPE Center promotes a healing environment in which the patient and their loved ones receive meaningful and comforting pastoral care, in which the student learns the skills and art of ministry while experiencing positive personal growth, and in support of Allina’s mission to prevent illness, restore health and provide comfort to all who entrust us with their care.
Our scope of practice
quality spiritual care - responding to the deepest healing
needs of patients and their loved ones through spiritual assessment,
care, and counseling in collaboration with health care staff
clinical education for ministry - promoting a relationship
between the hospitals & clinics and the religious community by developing
competent, moral, and spiritually sensitive pastoral leaders
leadership in ethics - promoting values of a just society with
the hospital, health system and broader community
