Medical
Employees have a choice of medical plan options which provide flexibility and value. Each option provides different levels of coverage and premiums. All medical plans provide coverage on a broad array of services, including preventive care, hospital and physician services, mental health and chemical dependency services. Coverage is available to employees and eligible dependents, including children, spouses or same-sex domestic partners, and the children of spouses or same-sex domestic partners.
Pharmacy benefits are included in each of the Allina medical plan options. Many plans include features designed to help employees save money on their prescriptions, including reduced co-payments for generic drugs and mail-order service for maintenance drugs.
Dental
Dental coverage helps employees and their dependents access routine and preventive dental care at a reasonable cost. The Allina dental program covers 100 percent of the cost of preventive exams and cleanings twice per year. Employees have access to a broad provider network and may choose to use an in-network or out-of-network dentist. Utilizing an in-network dentist helps to maximize savings and reduce out-of-pocket costs.
Wellness Programs
Allina Health has programs and incentives to help support and encourage employees to take positive actions to Be Fit, including maintaining or adopting a healthy lifestyle. These programs are integral to what we do as a company, since preventive care and improving one's health is an important part of the Allina Health patient care model and strategic vision.
Employee Assistance Program
Allina Health offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to provide employees with confidential assistance in resolving a variety of medical, personal, financial, emotional problems and/or concerns.
