Paid Time Off or Vacation
Allina Health supports employees maintaining a balance between work and other life activities. To foster a healthy work environment, Allina Health provides employees with Paid-Time Off (combines traditional vacation, holiday and sick leave into a single "account" of paid leave or vacation) or Vacation time depending on eligibility classification. Both the Paid-Time Off and Vacation programs offer employees the flexibility to balance a busy life with responsibilities at work.
Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment
Having life insurance can help protect your family’s financial security. As part of our employee benefit package, Allina Health offers life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment coverage. Employees may also purchase additional employee life insurance, and life insurance for a spouse/same-sex domestic partner and dependent child(ren) at group rates.
Income Protection (Short-Term Disability)
Allina Health Income Protection Program is available to most benefits-eligible employees and replaces a percentage of an employee’s income for approved absences due to sickness or injury. Allina also provides a Sick Leave benefit for certain benefits-eligible employees not eligible for the Income Protection Program to supplement an employee’s income due to an injury or illness. Both the Income Protection and the Sick Leave Programs are provided at no cost to employees.
Long-Term Disability
To help protect employees, Allina Health provides Long-Term Disability (LTD) benefits. The LTD plan is designed to provide a benefit if you suffer an approved disability lasting longer than 90 days.
Voluntary Benefit Products
These benefits are completely voluntary and offered to employees at group rates through payroll deduction. Voluntary options that are available include: Vision Care Benefit, Group Legal Plan, Auto & Home Program, Long-term Care Insurance, Identify Theft Coverage, and a Computer Purchase Program.
Business Travel Accident
Allina Health provides employees with Business Travel Accident coverage at no cost to employees.
Tuition Reimbursement
Allina Health believes it is important to provide support to eligible employees seeking to enhance their job-related skills and improve their potential for promotion and career development opportunities within Allina Health. By reimbursing certain educational expenses as a fringe benefit, Allina encourages employees to grow professionally.
Minnesota's 529 College Savings Plan
This plan provides individual investment accounts that offer tax incentives to save for higher education and training. An account can be set up for a designated beneficiary (usually a child) and after-tax contributions are then automatically deposited through payroll into the account (the same as direct deposit). Then, when the money is withdrawn for qualified education expenses, there are no State or Federal taxes on the earnings of the account.
Adoption Assistance Program
Allina provides assistance to employees who are building families through adoption by providing financial assistance and an adoption leave of absence.
