Respiratory therapy

The respiratory therapy department provides 24 hour care to patients of all ages. Services are provided by certified and registered respiratory therapists and the department is recognized for providing quality respiratory care by the American Association for Respiratory Care. The respiratory therapy department provides many services including:

• Oxygen delivery and management
• Inhaled medication delivery
• Conventional and non-invasive mechanical ventilation
• Artificial airway management
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
• Bronchial hygiene
• Arterial blood gas collection

In addition to providing care, respiratory therapists serve as consultants to nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team. Since its beginning in 1978 the respiratory therapy department has strived to provide the highest quality care.
