Cambridge Medical Center's surgery staff is dedicated to providing excellent patient care before, during, and after surgery. Our goal is to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Over 4,000 surgical procedures are performed each year at the medical center including both inpatient and outpatient (Short Stay) surgeries. Our five surgical suites and one GI endoscopy suite are equipped with state-of-the-art technology in keeping with our commitment to quality patient care. There are eight private recovery areas for patients having outpatient surgery. Families can wait for their loved ones in a comfortable waiting area staffed by friendly volunteers. A wide range of surgical specialists are part of the medical staff at Cambridge Medical Center. Surgical specialties include general surgery, ob/gyn, orthopedics, ophthalmology (eye), ear, nose, and throat (ENT), and urology. Effective pain management can be a critical factor in patient recovery. Our surgeons are supported by an anesthesia team of seven certified registered nurse anesthetists and a board certified anesthesiologist to administer effective pain management and sedation services.
