Emergency care is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by physicians specializing in emergency medicine. In September 2012, a new $10.5 million Emergency Department opened for patient care. The new space includes 21 private rooms, including four trauma/cardiac rooms specially designed for critically ill patients, a decontamination room, and four rooms for patients needing a safe environment. Special spaces for families are available and the entire facility is designed to provide care in a quiet and calming environment.

The Minnesota Department of Health has designated the CMC ER a Level IV Trauma Hospital. We are also an affiliate of the Level One Heart Attack Treatment Program and the Stroke Treatment Network of Abbott Northwestern Hospital.

For minor illnesses and injuries

If you are unable to see your primary care provider when you want or need to, the Same Day Clinic is available for minor illnesses and injuries.
