Healthy Communities Magazine is Cambridge Medical Center's community newsletter. It reflects the medical center's commitment to be a community resource for reliable health and medical information and to promote healthy lifestyles.

Healthy Communities Magazine is mailed three times a year to residents in Cambridge and surrounding communities. Each issue contains articles on a variety of health and wellness topics and a calendar of classes and seminars available at Cambridge Medical Center.

The Cambridge Medical Center Auxiliary and Volunteer Services, and Memorial Hospital Foundation have scholarships available for students enrolled in various health related fields. The deadline for application is April 30. If you are interested, please call Lori Dimitry at 763-688-8803 or print an application and mail it to the scholarship committee.

Friends of Cambridge Medical Center (formerly Cambridge Medical Center Auxiliary)

Cambridge Medical Center Auxiliary Nursing Scholarship - $1,000 for a graduate of the area served by CMC or who now lives in the area served by CMC who is accepted into a nursing program leading to a degree. Gertrude Gunderson was the Auxiliary’s first president. Her family established this scholarship in her memory.

Two $1,000 scholarships are available to anyone who is a graduate of the area served by Cambridge Medical Center, or who now resides in the area, and is presently accepted into a health career program leading to a bachelor of arts, bachelor of science, associate degree, an accredited school granting certification in a health care field or a post-bachelor program in health care.

Cambridge Medical Center Family Scholarship

$1,000 awarded to an employee or a family member who is accepted into a health career program leading to a BA, BS, or AA degree. Two $1,000 scholarships for a graduate of the area served by CMC or who now lives in the area and is accepted into a health career program leading to a BA, BS, or AA degree.

Memorial Hospital Foundation

These are additional scholarships for students in medically related fields and usually numbered five to eight in availability, and for amounts of $750 to $1,000. They also specify acceptance into your medical field and completion of at least one semester with transcript of grades provided.

  • Daniel R. Huff, MD Scholarship: $750 to a child from a single parent family or a single parent who is a graduate of the areas served by CMC or who now resides in the area and is accepted into a medical related field leading to a BA, BS, AA or MD.

Important – If you are enrolled at the Cambridge Community College in the nursing program, please DO NOT apply for a Memorial Hospital Foundation Scholarship. The Foundation has established scholarships specific to this program. Contact CCC for more information.

Please print application and mail it to the scholarship committee. The deadline to apply for these scholarships is April 30.

Cambridge-Isanti School District 911 - Dollars for Scholars

The Medical Center and Auxiliary through the “Dollars for Scholars” program also awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors at Cambridge-Isanti’s Annual Scholarship Program in May. To be eligible for those scholarships encourage your child to complete the application provided by the high school. These are awarded to seniors who are pursuing a career in a medical field.
