How to become a volunteer

  1. Complete an online application.
  2. Once your application is received, you will get an email with upcoming orientation dates.
  3. Sign up for an orientation date, complete and submit the mandatory Health Clearance form.
  4. Attend an orientation session.
  5. Complete required health screening. This can be done at Abbott Northwestern (no charge) or by your physician.
  6. Complete an onboarding shift (information will be provided at orientation)
  7. Junior volunteers must have a Junior Volunteer Recommendation Form completed by an educational, spiritual or community leader. This form will be emailed to the applicant.
