Our care teamRobotic treatmentsOne of the most common treatments for prostate cancer involves surgical removal of the prostate gland, known as a radical prostatectomy. If a doctor recommends surgery to treat prostate cancer, patients may be candidates for a new, less invasive approach called the robotic prostatectomy using the da Vinci® Surgical System. The da Vinci Surgical System provides surgeons with an alternate to both traditional open surgery and conventional laparoscopy. The da Vinci System enables surgeons to perform even the most complex and delicate procedures through very small incisions and allows a surgeon greater visualization, enhanced dexterity, precision and control.
