The Minneapolis Neuroscience Institute offers free support groups to patients and their families. We also offer annual screenings for stroke and hearing loss.

Brain tumor support group

Abbott Northwestern's Neuroscience Institute and the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute offer a support group for brain tumor patients and caregivers. Social workers and clinicians gather to offer education and support to people affected by brain tumors.

The sessions are held on the second Thursday of each month from approximately 5:30 to 8 p.m. We gather at 5:30 for those who wish to bring a light meal for themselves. Cookies and coffee are served.
