Support the work of "super heroes"

Each year, the doctors, nurses and employees of Abbott Northwestern's Emergency Department care for 45,000 patients in need of urgent, and even life saving, medical care.

Given our community’s population growth and increasing health demands, the Emergency Department must become equipped to serve 60,000 patients annually.

To do that, a redesign and remodel are planned for the Emergency Department with support from the Abbott Northwestern Hospital Foundation. Proceeds from the Medicine Ball will help support:

  • a new trauma resuscitation center
  • an isolation waiting room to decrease the spread of infectious diseases
  • enhancements to better prepare for community-wide emergencies
  • the availability of integrative therapies, such as massage and meditation, to help reduce stress and pain
  • a secure area for mental health patients.
