Abbott Northwestern Hospital Foundation needs donor support to make critical investments in cutting-edge technology, supportive patient services, hospital facilities, and continuing education for nurses, doctors and other health care providers.

Gifts may also be designated to a hospital program or service:

• The Mother Baby Center: The Mother Baby Center at Abbott Northwestern and Children's - Minneapolis will merge Abbott Northwestern's labor, delivery and newborn nurseries with Children's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Special Care Nursery and Infant Care Center (ICC).
• Cancer care at the Virginia Piper Cancer Institute, nationally recognized for its comprehensive care model, Piper Breast Center and complex and rare cancers program.
• Prostate health: The foundation is raising funds to create a care model that gives men access to a team of experts to help them choose prostate cancer screening and treatment options that best fit their lives.
• Integrative health at the Penny George Institute for Health and Healing, a national leader in programs and therapies to heal the mind, body and spirit
• WomenCare/the birth center, delivering more babies than any other hospital in the state of Minnesota
• Neuroscience Institute/Stroke, a leader in neurological care with a national reputation for excellence
• Orthopaedic Institute, nationally recognized and offering an integrated approach to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of orthopaedic conditions
• Spine care, delivered by a team of experts dedicated to excellence in the comprehensive management of spinal diseases and disorders
• Cardiovascular services, internationally recognized and addressing the full range of heart and vascular health needs: prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation
• Nursing Excellence, allowing you to honor the individuals who play such an important role in hospital care by supporting their advanced training and continuing education
