Practice philosophy

I do my best to involve individuals in their own health decisions and like when individuals bring in things they have read elsewhere or have seen on the Internet.

I believe an educated patient is better equipped to make healthy decisions. It also makes my job easier.


Special interests, activities

The use of information technology (computers) to improve the practice of medicine and to help everyone become more informed about their health

Owner and moderator of Fam-Med, an Internet discussion group which focused on information technology in family medicine distributed internationally by electronic mail with over 500 membersĀ at its peak in the mid '90sĀ (1990 to 2002)
