How to look for whole grains
(HealthDay News) -- Whole grains are fiber-rich, heart-healthy foods. But it may be a challenge to find good sources.
The following are common whole-grain choices:
- whole wheat flour, whole oats or whole oatmeal
- popcorn, whole grain corn or corn meal
- bulgur (cracked wheat), brown rice or wild rice
- whole grain barley or whole rye
- buckwheat or buckwheat flour
- quinoa, triticale, millet or sorghum.
