Pre-surgery physical exam

Before your surgery, your primary care doctor will need to do a pre-surgery physical exam. The exam will evaluate your current health status.

Your pre-surgery physical exam needs to be done 2 to 30 days before your surgery.

Once your surgery is scheduled, please call your clinic to schedule your appointment.

If you currently take any medicines, make sure your doctor provides you with directions for:

  • taking your medicines the morning of surgery
  • stopping any prescription medicines before surgery
  • stopping any over-the-counter medicines (including herbal medicines) before surgery.
