You can have an occasional treat if you eat healthful foods regularly. Eat sweets in moderation and enjoy every bite.
1 12-ounce bag semi-sweet chocolate chips (You can also use milk chocolate, white chocolate or butterscotch chips.*)
24 pretzel sticks
decorations: colored sugar, crushed peppermints, chopped nuts, sprinkles, caramels, other chocolates, etc.*
Line a baking sheet with waxed paper.
Place chocolate chips in a microwave-safe container. Microwave on high for 30 seconds, stir and continue to heat in microwave for 10- to 15-second intervals until chocolate is melted and smooth.
Dip half of each pretzel stick into the chocolate. Roll or sprinkle with decorations, if desired. You can also drizzle the dipped pretzel sticks with white or dark chocolate, or melted caramel.
Leave on baking sheet to dry completely, until chocolate has hardened.
Place on a decorative platter and serve. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
