M-PowerHealth and Fitness Program

How to enroll

To enroll in the M-PowerHealth and Fitness Program, you will need the referral or approval of your physician. To schedule your first appointment, call 763-236-8024.

Cost

The initial evaluation fee is $60 for new members and $30 for patients recently transferring from outpatient cardiac rehabilitation, Lung Power or physical therapy. The monthly membership fee is $25 per month, set up on a payment plan by credit card or checking account. Initial evaluation fees are due at the time of your first visit by cash, check or credit card. Fees are not covered by insurance; however, some insurance companies offer partial reimbursement of membership fees.

  • Exercise: The exercise programs are made up of an individual exercise prescription incorporating flexibility, endurance training, as well as a strength training program. These sessions are supervised by qualified professionals.
  • Education: The education portion will assist you in working toward a healthier lifestyle by learning how to modify your risk factors.
  • Evaluation: For all participants, medical records will be requested from your physician and an exercise prescription will be prepared.

Each participant will receive an initial evaluation/orientation and will be re-evaluated regularly. Your physician is updated on your progress.

Supervised exercise

Monday - Thursday: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday: 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This is a physician-approved exercise and lifestyle modification program staffed by qualified health professionals. Participants will work toward a healthier lifestyle in a safe and supportive environment. Heart rhythm and blood pressure will be checked as needed or at your request.

What to wear

You may wear proper gym attire: gym shorts, T-shirts, loose-fitting clothing and athletic shoes. Changing rooms are available. To prevent damage to equipment, please bring a change of shoes.

Peripheral vascular exercise program

This Peripheral Vascular Rehabilitation Program is for people with peripheral artery disease (PAD) or peripheral vascular disease (PVD). It is a four to six week exercise program where you work closely with a cardiac rehabilitation therapist to overcome calf pain or symptoms during walking. We also work closely with your physician.
