Giving birth

  • These last three months of pregnancy prepare you for the upcoming birth. You may feel uncomfortable because your baby and your uterus are so large.

Your baby is stretching and moving, trying to find room in an increasingly cramped uterus. You are both getting ready for this to be over.

    To do list

Notify your health care provider or hospital birth center as instructed.

Notify your support system when you think labor has started.

Notify child care for older children.

Relax and distract yourself if in early labor.

    Rest if you're tired.

Bring your labor bag and suitcase to the hospital.
