When This Medicine Should Not Be Used:

Do not use this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to mitomycin, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

How to Use This Medicine:

Liquid, Pad

  • A doctor or other trained health professional will apply this medicine to your eyes during glaucoma surgery.

Drugs and Foods to Avoid:

Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.

Warnings While Using This Medicine:

  • You should not receive this medicine if you are pregnant, because this medicine may harm an unborn baby. Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or if there is a chance that you might be pregnant. You should not breastfeed because this medicine could be passed to your baby through your breastmilk.
  • Make sure your doctor knows if you have cataracts or any other eye problems.
  • The pressure inside your eye could get too low after this medicine is used. Tell your doctor if you start to have blurred vision or any other vision changes.
  • This medicine might increase your risk of cataracts or other lens problems if you have a phakic intraocular lens (IOL) in your eye.

Possible Side Effects While Using This Medicine:

Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:

  • Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
  • Blurred vision or other changes in vision
  • Eye pain
  • Light sensitivity
  • Redness, irritation, or swelling of the eye or eyelid
  • Seeing flashes or floating spots before the eyes
  • Seeing halos around lights
  • Watery eyes
