Desloratadine/pseudoephedrine (By mouth)
Desloratadine (des-lor-A-ta-deen), Pseudoephedrine Sulfate (soo-doe-e-FED-rin SUL-fate)
Treats symptoms of seasonal allergies. This medicine is a combination of an antihistamine and a decongestant.
Clarinex-D, Clarinex-D 24 Hour, Clarinex-D 24HR, Clarinex-D12 HourThere may be other brand names for this medicine.
When This Medicine Should Not Be Used:You should not use this medicine if you have had an allergic reaction to desloratadine, pseudoephedrine, or loratadine (Claritin®, Alavert®). Do not use this medicine if you have narrow-angle glaucoma or if you have used an MAO inhibitor (such as Eldepryl®, Marplan®, Nardil®, or Parnate®) in the last 14 days. Tell your doctor if you have severe heart disease, very high blood pressure, or trouble urinating. Make sure your doctor knows about any reaction you have had to other drugs, especially if it involved trouble sleeping, dizziness, weakness, shaking, or changes in your heart rhythm.
