2023

  • US News & World Report – Buffalo Hospital earned High Performing rankings in Pneumonia care (third consecutive year).

2022

  • Buffalo Hospital is proud to have earned an “A” grade for patient safety in the Spring 2022 Leapfrog Safety Grade rankings. Buffalo Hospital is one of 11 hospitals in Minnesota to receive an A ranking and was recognized for its achievements in protecting patients from harm and error in the hospital.
  • Buffalo Hospital received the Merative™ 100 Top Hospitals Award for small community hospitals. This is the fourth time in a row and eighth time overall.
  • US News & World Report Buffalo Hospital earned High Performing rankings in two adult procedures and conditions: Hip fracture (first year) and Pneumonia (for the second consecutive year).

  • Buffalo Hospital received the IBM Watson Health™ 100 Top Hospitals Award for small community hospitals. Named a Top 20 community hospital in the nation.

2018

  • Buffalo Hospital is a recipient of the Healthgrades 2018 Patient Safety Excellence Award. The award goes to those among the top 10% in the nation for Patient Safety.

2017

  • October 27, 2017 - Allina Health Buffalo Hospital received the 2018 Star Performer recognition from The American Orthopaedic Association’s (AOA) Own the Bone® program.

2016

  • Buffalo Hospital was awarded LifeSource’s Excellence in Donation Award for small hospitals for organ and tissue donations in 2016. Buffalo was cited for outstanding support and ongoing commitment to saving lives through organ and tissue donation and transplantation.

  • Minnesota Hospital Association Partnership for Patients Excellence Award
  • National Award in partnership with the Wright County Fair for the innovative bike safety demonstration and helmet giveaway
  • The Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) honored innovative programs and outstanding leaders in health care at its 29th annual awards ceremony on Friday, May 17. Buffalo Hospital, part of Allina Health, received the award for Patient Safety Improvement in the Small Hospital Category due to their efforts to create a culture of safety.

  • Buffalo Hospital’s Birth Center was recognized for excellence in patient safety by the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA). MHA’s Annual Health Care Awards honor the best and brightest in Minnesota health care—individuals who have offered dedicated service to hospitals and organizations that have implemented successful, innovative programs.
  • Buffalo Hospital’s imaging department earned a three-year term of accreditation in computed tomography (CT) as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
  • Buffalo Hospital earned Patient Safety Excellence Awards from the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) for Safe Site and Safe Skin.

2008

  • Full accreditation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations
  • A three-year term of accreditation in mammography as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology (ACR)
  • Patient Safety Excellence Awards from the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) for Safe Count and Safe from Falls

2007

  • Buffalo Hospital received the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) Best Minnesota Hospital Workplace Award for the third time in the small hospital category.

2006

  • Buffalo Hospital received the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) Community Health Commitment Award for its commitment to community health.

2005

  • Buffalo Hospital received the Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA) Innovator of the Year in Patient Care Award for implementing one of the most integrated electronic medical record systems in the nation. The hospital also received an award in 2003 for implementing InstyMeds, a prescription drug delivery system.
