    By volunteering at Abbott Northwestern, you'll get to make a difference in people's lives. Volunteers from age 15 to 99 serve patients, guests and employees.

    How to become a volunteer

    1. Complete an online application.
    2. Once your application is received, you will get an email with upcoming orientation dates. Please respond to the email indicating which orientation date you would like to attend.
    3. Once you have selected an orientation date, you will be required to complete a health clearance form. Forms need to be submitted at least one week prior to orientation. All junior applicants will need to submit a letter of recommendation.
    4. Attend an orientation session.
    5. Complete required health screening. This can be done at Abbott Northwestern (no charge) or by your physician.
    6. Complete an onboarding shift (information will be provided at orientation).
    7. Begin volunteering at Abbott Northwestern!
